Japanese-Alpine Minimalist Landscape Concepts

Job ID: 40067363

Budget: $250 – $750 NZD

My new four-acre property is ready for its landscape vision, and I would like 4–5 distinct concept schemes that balance Japanese serenity with Alpine crispness and a minimalist aesthetic. Every concept must weave a Japanese-style pond—complete with koi and an artful rock garden—beneath the glass hallway that is already plumbed for water circulation.

Beyond the pond, I need to see how each concept sets up a meditative Zen garden, a flexible outdoor seating area, and space that can double as a pond-to-sand garden for seasonal interest. For planting, please prioritise evergreen trees, graceful stands of bamboo, and other low-maintenance species that fit the hybrid style.

I am looking for full section concepts from driveway, cottage and main dwelling.

Deliverables I’m expecting for each concept:
• Scaled site plan or digital render that clearly shows layout, circulation and sightlines
• A concise planting palette highlighting key species and their placement
• Material and hardscape notes (stone types, wood, gravel, lighting ideas)
• Brief rationale explaining how the concept expresses Japanese/Alpine minimalism and meets the functional brief

JPEG, PDF or SketchUp/3D exports are all welcome at this stage; clarity and creativity matter more than construction-level detail. If questions arise about levels, access or services, just let me know—I can supply surveys and 3D underlay. I’m aiming to review all concepts together, choose one, and move straight into detailed design with the same freelancer if the fit is right.
