HOA-Compliant Landscape Design Plans

I already have a scaled site plan and a checklist from our homeowners’ association—now I need a polished landscape design that will pass their architectural review on the first submission. The primary objective is visual appeal; every line on the drawing should make the front elevation feel welcoming and well-balanced.

Updated files loaded. Site plan of project and two examples of where I am heading with this project.
Here is what I can supply on day one:
• PDF and DWG of the current site plan showing setbacks, utilities, and hard-scape
• The HOA’s planting and irrigation guidelines
• A preliminary plant list that includes several flowering shrubs, two specimen trees, and a mix of evergreens for year-round structure

I want to see sweeping planting beds around the house, thoughtfully placed canopy and ornamental trees, evergreen screening where the HOA allows, and sodded areas that flow naturally from the existing grade. Feel free to improve on my plant list; I know what I like, but I’m open to expert tweaks that will thrive in our zone and stay within the HOA’s height and spacing rules.

Acceptance criteria for the final package:
1. Scaled planting plan (PDF + native CAD) with each plant keyed and counted
2. Separate plant schedule noting botanical/common names, container sizes, and spacing
3. Color rendering or 3-D perspective that clearly communicates intent to the review board
4. Brief narrative explaining how the design meets the HOA’s aesthetic guidelines and irrigation limits

If you typically work in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar, that’s perfect—just keep file names clear so the review board can follow along. Turnaround inside a week would be ideal.
