Small Change in Lab View Program required

Hi,
I have a small Lab View Program which is connected to the electrometer ( current meter). It reads values of current from the electrometer. Due to some reason, electrometer halts for like 5 to 10 seconds, and the Lab View program generates timeout error. I want to get rid of this timeout error so that even if electrometer halts for few seconds, lab view keeps running normal. It might be that only delay time needs to fixed in LabView program.
