Role Overview
We are looking for a label-focused nutraceutical / supplement packaging designer with proven experience in FSSAI-compliant label design. This role is strictly execution- and compliance-driven. The focus is on clarity, accuracy, and regulatory correctness, not abstract branding or artistic exploration.
This position requires someone who understands how supplement labels actually work in the Indian market from mandatory declarations to print-ready layouts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design nutraceutical and supplement labels compliant with FSSAI regulations
2. Structure label layouts to clearly present:
Ingredients
Nutritional information
Dosage and usage instructions
Warnings and disclaimers
Manufacturing and regulatory details
3. Ensure designs are print-ready and suitable for physical packaging
4. Adapt label designs for multiple SKUs or variants when required
5. Coordinate with internal teams to incorporate accurate product information
6. Make revisions based on compliance feedback or regulatory requirements
Required Skills & Experience (Non-Negotiable)
Prior experience designing nutraceutical or supplement labels
Strong working knowledge of FSSAI labeling guidelines
Experience delivering print-ready packaging files
Ability to prioritize clarity and compliance over aesthetics
High attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Profile
Freelance designer with prior work for supplement, wellness, or FMCG brands
Experience handling labels for powders, capsules, tablets, or liquid supplements
Familiarity with Indian printing standards and packaging formats
What This Role Is Not
Not a branding or logo design role
Not a conceptual or illustration-heavy role
Not suitable for designers without nutraceutical or FSSAI experience
