On-Prem CentOS Kubernetes with containerd - 26/08/2025 20:45 EDT
Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR
I’m ready to bring up a production-grade Kubernetes cluster inside our on-prem data center, all running on CentOS nodes and using containerd as the only container runtime. You will receive freshly provisioned servers (SSH access provided) and full control to install, configure, and validate the environment.
I expect you to:
• install containerd, kubeadm, kubelet, and kubectl on every node
• bootstrap the control plane, join worker nodes, and apply a stable CNI plugin of your choice
• enable RBAC, metrics-server, and a basic dashboard secured behind the firewall
• hand back a cluster that passes standard conformance tests (Sonobuoy or similar)
Deliverables
• Repeatable automation (bash scripts, Ansible playbooks, or similar) covering the entire setup
• Clear, step-by-step documentation so another engineer can rebuild the cluster unaided
• One short hand-over call walking the team through day-to-day operations
Acceptance criteria
• kubectl get nodes shows all machines in Ready state
• Conformance suite completes without failures
• containerd confirmed as the sole CRI in use
Everything happens on-prem, so familiarity with firewalls, private networking, and proxy nuances is important. Let me know your preferred tooling and a concise outline of your approach, and we can line up access and maintenance windows right away.
