Kubernetes Expert for Horizontal Autoscaling
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Description:
I am seeking a Kubernetes expert to help configure horizontal autoscaling for our workloads. The application is written in Kotlin, built, and deployed as a Docker image. The goal is to efficiently scale pods based on resource utilization and ensure smooth application performance.
Project Scope:
Setup and configure Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA) to scale workloads.
Optimize scaling policies (CPU, memory, or custom metrics) to match workload needs.
Ensure smooth integration with the metrics-server or Prometheus for monitoring.
Validate scaling through load testing to ensure pods scale up/down correctly.
Provide documentation and a basic knowledge transfer session.
Tech Stack:
Kotlin: Application codebase
Docker: Containerized deployment
Kubernetes: Orchestration
HPA: Horizontal scaling solution
Metrics-server / Prometheus: Monitoring (as needed)
Collaboration Method:
I am looking for an individual who can assist me via screen-sharing or in-person. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working hands-on and guiding me through the process.
Required Skills:
Experience with Kubernetes deployments and HPA configurations.
Familiarity with Kotlin applications and Docker container workflows.
Knowledge of metrics-server, Prometheus, or other monitoring tools.
Experience with cloud Kubernetes platforms (GKE, EKS, AKS) or self-hosted clusters.
Deliverables:
Fully configured horizontal autoscaling for the Kubernetes cluster.
Tested and validated scaling policies with load testing results.
Documentation on the setup, troubleshooting, and recommended scaling strategies.
If you have experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Kotlin-based applications, and can provide hands-on support via screen-sharing or in person, please reach out with a brief summary of your relevant experience and past projects.
