Enterprise-Grade DevOps Platform Build
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m standing up a brand-new, production-ready DevOps platform for a container-based microservices e-commerce application and I want it to mirror the rigor you’d see in large enterprises. Everything will run on AWS and be orchestrated by Kubernetes, with Jenkins driving the CI/CD lifecycle.
Scope
You will architect, implement, and document the full path from code commit to live traffic. That means infrastructure as code, automated pipelines, immutable deployments, GitOps workflows, comprehensive observability, airtight security controls, and high-availability design—all delivered as a working, demonstrable environment.
Key elements I expect
• AWS foundation (networking, identity, security, cost-aware resilience)
• Kubernetes cluster production-hardened for multi-service workloads
• Jenkins pipelines covering build, test, container image creation, and progressive delivery
• GitOps model for cluster state and app releases
• Infrastructure defined in code and stored in Git (CloudFormation or Terraform—your call)
• Centralized logging, metrics, alerting, and dashboarding wired into the cluster
• Automated security scanning (images, code, dependencies, and runtime)
• Blue/green or canary style rollouts with rollback safety
• Clear runbooks and README-level documentation so another engineer can reproduce the stack
Acceptance criteria
• One-click (or single command) bootstrap spins up all AWS resources and the Kubernetes control plane.
• Pushing a change to a sample microservice repository triggers Jenkins, builds an image, and promotes it through at least two environments automatically.
• Dashboards visibly track service health, latency, logs, and alerts.
• All infrastructure and pipeline code passes linting and security checks in CI.
• Full project delivered in a private Git repo with commit history intact.
