Expectations
Work with engineers on the design, deployment and continuous improvement of infrastructure services
Scoping of work, management of backlog and predictability of project delivery
Provide input into long-range platform requirements and operational guidelines with a focus on automation and continuous improvement
Develop and own best practices/methodologies for continuous integration, build engineering and software release management
Develop and maintain system level automated testing suites
Manage infrastructure of archiving production computational artifacts and documentation serving
Support infrastructure for data science and machine learning workflows
Collaborating with engineering team, enabling them to design, develop and deploy software quickly, reliably and securely
Wear multiple hats while touching multiple parts of our tech stack
7+ years as a Software, DevOps or Infrastructure Engineer
experience writing performant code in a high level programming language
experience testing, deploying and operating web services on cloud based infrastructure on a large scale supporting at least 2000 simultaneous users
Adaptable, collaborative and accountable in a dynamic environment
Advanced knowledge of software engineering processes, what they look like and how to foster an environment that creates and scales them
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
Technical skills required:
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure with tools like Github Actions, Jenkins, Tekton, Argo CD.
Experience working in infrastructure as code and GitOps methodologies
Extensive experience with AWS and its cloud infrastructure (focusing on Enterprise Scale Deployments)
Comfortable writing and understand YAML
Ability to write Bash Scripts and perform administer linux OS
Kubernetes cluster setup and administration
Experience working with container technologies in production environment
Manage complex workflow pipelines and environments (dev, staging, qa, prod)
Ability to investigate and resolve technical issues
Perform root cause analysis for production issues
Experience with Disaster Recovery protocols and its design
