Optimize Android App Image API Backend
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I have an Android application whose image-related endpoints have become painfully slow whenever an image is being processed. Upload and download speeds are acceptable; the lag only appears during server-side processing, and it is long enough to damage the overall user experience.
What I need from you:
• Diagnose the root cause of the sluggish response time inside the image API.
• Refactor, cache, or otherwise optimise the existing code so that processing calls return promptly even under load.
• Prove the fix with benchmark results (before vs. after), unit tests, and a short hand-off note explaining any new dependencies or configuration changes.
The backend is already in place; you will be jumping straight into a production code-base, so clean, well-documented commits are essential. If you are comfortable profiling Kotlin/Java services, working with image-handling libraries, and fine-tuning database or storage calls, you should feel right at home.
