MacOS Kotlin Multiplatform Build
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
The codebase is already written in Kotlin Multiplatform; the desktop target compiles cleanly on Windows and Linux. I now need the macOS (Intel-chip) variant produced, verified and, if necessary, tweaked so the executable runs the embedded local-LLM logic exactly as it does on the other platforms.
You’ll be working with:
• Kotlin JVM & Kotlin Native targets
• Gradle (KMP toolchain)
• JetBrains Compose for Desktop
What I expect you to do
1. Clone the private repo, set up the environment and run the macOS build tasks.
2. Resolve any Mac-specific build errors, linker issues or missing native dependencies.
3. Test the resulting .app to confirm the local language-model loads, accepts prompts and returns answers without crashing. No additional UI work is required; the existing Compose windows are enough.
4. Package the release build as a notarised .dmg (or a signed .zip if you prefer) and provide a concise build script or Gradle task so I can reproduce the process on my end.
Acceptance criteria
• A universal (or x86_64-only) macOS binary that launches on an Intel Mac running at least macOS 12.
• All unit tests and manual smoke tests pass.
• Step-by-step notes or an updated README covering tool versions and any code changes committed via PR.
Timeline is flexible within a few days; the scope is limited to compile-and-test, so this should stay a focused engagement.
