Architect advice for desing of concurrence in Kotlin Spring

advice (and potential development support) from an architect with concurrent programming knowledge in Kotlin+Spring (Coroutines, threads, sockets, etc) for a project that aims at developing a microservice that exposes several Restful API endpoints with the rest of a cloud-based infrastructure.
One of the main challenges for this microservice is that it is expected to receive multiple concurrent requests that need to be handled by an internal process that has to send them to a remote external server through asynchronous socket connections and return the responses received from such server to the internal clients who originally produced the request.
After this architecture is finally conceived, we may also need support in the development of the solution. However, this aspect is pending confirmation after the conception of the architecture.
