Android Messaging App with Voice/Video
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I need an Android messaging application built from the ground up that delivers a smooth, feature-rich experience. The core of the project is real-time communication, and every interaction must feel instantaneous and reliable.
Key functionality to implement
• Fast, reliable real-time chat
• Voice messaging (record, send, play)
• High-quality video calls (one-to-one)
• File and photo sharing with progress indicators
• A lightweight “Post” feed where users can share updates
• Temporary “Status” similar to stories
• Phone-number verification as the sole sign-in method
The app should follow modern Android design guidelines, be fully responsive across common screen sizes, and run smoothly on Android 10 and above. I’m comfortable with established stacks such as Kotlin + Jetpack components, Firebase Realtime Database / Firestore for messaging, and WebRTC for calls, but I’m open to alternatives if they serve performance and scaling better.
Deliverables
1. Production-ready APK and Play-ready bundle
2. Full, well-commented source code in a private Git repository
3. Setup / build instructions and brief technical documentation
Acceptance criteria
• Messages, voice clips, video streams, files, and photos all send and receive in real time with no crashes
• Phone OTP authentication is secure and repeatable
• UI matches the agreed mock-ups and passes basic accessibility checks
