This role will involve both on-page SEO and the management of directory listings to ensure maximum visibility and conversion.
Responsibilities:
1. SEO Management:
• On-Page SEO: Conduct keyword research, optimize website content, meta tags, headers, images, and internal linking structure to improve organic rankings.
• Technical SEO: Improve website speed, mobile optimization, and ensure compliance with SEO best practices, including fixing any crawl errors.
• Local SEO: Focus on local SEO targeting homeowners in England, including optimizing for location-based keywords and creating content that appeals to this demographic.
• Backlink Strategy: Build and manage a high-quality backlink profile, focusing on relevant home improvement, energy-saving, and local websites.
• Content Optimization: Suggest and implement changes to website content to improve SEO performance, ensuring that it aligns with the ECO4 scheme and the needs of homeowners in England.
• Tracking and Reporting: Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs) to monitor traffic, keyword rankings, and conversions. Provide monthly reports detailing performance and progress.
2. Directory Listing Management:
• Identify High-Quality Directories: Research and identify relevant free UK-based directories for the home improvement sector, ensuring they align with ECO4 and energy-saving initiatives.
• Directory Submissions: Submit business listings to these directories, ensuring all listings are consistent, accurate, and optimized with the right keywords, description, and contact information.
• Review Monitoring: Monitor customer reviews on directories like Yell.com, FreeIndex, Hotfrog, and others. Respond to reviews professionally and help build a positive reputation online.
• Track Directory Performance: Analyze the traffic and leads generated from these directory listings, providing insight into which directories are bringing the most valuable results.
• Update Listings Regularly: Ensure directory listings are updated as needed, keeping the information relevant and accurate.
3. Reporting & Optimization:
• Performance Reporting: Create regular reports on the effectiveness of both SEO efforts and directory listings, including traffic, keyword ranking, and lead generation.
• Action Plan & Strategy Updates: Based on results, optimize the SEO and directory listing strategy to improve lead generation and conversion rates.
Key Skills & Requirements:
• Proven experience in SEO, including keyword research, on-page optimization, link building, and technical SEO.
• Familiarity with local SEO, specifically for UK homeowners and the ECO4 scheme.
