Amazon KDP Keyword Strategy Needed
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a single Mystery/Thriller novel—think “wolves on the loose in Los Angeles,” written for an adult audience. I have just opened and begun on Amazon KDP Sponsored Products. The campaign shows more than 3,000 impressions but only one click and zero sales, so I clearly need stronger keywords, tighter targeting, and an overall refresh of my ads. I do actually have almost 30 sales in my first six weeks with the novel, but these sales are BEFORE I created the Amazon promotion. I also have 9, 5-star reviews. Also, if anyone thinks I should review how I set things up? I am open to suggestions. When I say that I mean on the Amazon platform. I have a paperback and Kindle version, the Kindle version has been a bust as ( I offered FREE for first 90 days) and still have no readers, ha ha.
What I need from you:
• 25–40 high-intent, low-competition keywords/phrases that match both the Mystery/Thriller genre and the specific wolf-in-LA hook.
• A short rationale for each keyword (search volume, relevancy, expected CPC if available).
• Two or three ready-to-upload ad group structures (exact, phrase, broad) with suggested daily bids.
• Copy suggestions for headline, custom text, and blurb that fit the Sponsored Products format and Amazon’s ad policies.
• Any quick-win tips on refining category placement, backend metadata, and pricing or coupon strategies to boost conversion.
Acceptance criteria: the keyword list must be exportable to CSV, every term must be verifiable via current Amazon search auto-suggest or a reputable KDP keyword tool, and the strategy should be actionable without premium software beyond Amazon Ads Manager.
If you’ve turned a low-click thriller into a mover before, I’d love your expertise :) My novel is called No Respite... I totally understand that the title is not helpful for a 'search word' on the subject.
