Java Web App Deployment on VPS

Project Description

I need full end-to-end deployment of a Java (JSP/Servlet) web application on a VPS.
Some setup has already been done, but the deployment is unstable and incomplete.
I need an experienced professional to fix all issues and deliver a fully working, production-ready deployment.

Current Setup (Already Done)

- VPS is active (Hostinger)
- CyberPanel is installed (cPanel was previously uninstalled)
- Java JDK is installed
- Apache Tomcat 10 is installed
- MySQL database is created
- Website files are uploaded to the server
- Domain DNS records are configured and DNS propagation is completed
- Application is accessible via IP on port 8080 but throws database errors

Issues That Need to Be Fixed

- Database connectivity issue (HTTP 500, MySQL access denied)
- WAR file deployment and extraction problems
- Domain mapping issue
- Domain sometimes shows Hostinger default landing page and sometimes shows 404 error
- Domain is not consistently pointing to the Tomcat application
- Overall server configuration is unstable

Scope of Work (Full Deployment)

The freelancer is expected to:

- Fix Java application database connectivity
- Correct MySQL user permissions and configuration
- Properly configure Apache Tomcat
- Deploy the application cleanly and correctly
- Configure domain mapping so the domain opens the application directly
- Remove Hostinger default landing behavior
- Ensure stable and error-free access via the domain
- Perform final testing and verification
