IBM DOORS Data Migration Expert
Budget: €18 – €36 EUR
I need an engineer who knows IBM DOORS Classic inside-out to move a sizeable set of requirements data out of the legacy database and into interchangeable, tool-neutral formats. The sole focus is data transfer; no upgrades or compliance rework are involved.
Source
• IBM DOORS Classic repositories (multiple modules and baselines)
Target formats
• XML
• JSON
• REQIF
Preferred approach
I already rely on a mix of IBM DXL scripts and selected third-party migration utilities, so you should be comfortable extending or fine-tuning both. Expect to write or adapt DXL for export logic, field mapping, and attribute cleanup, then validate the output against schema requirements or XSDs where applicable. If a commercial tool can accelerate any step, I am open to your recommendations, but licensing and configuration will remain my responsibility.
Deliverables
1. Reusable DXL scripts (well-commented) and/or configuration files for the chosen migration tool
2. A clean export of the agreed-upon DOORS modules in XML, JSON, and REQIF
3. A concise hand-off document that explains execution steps, environment prerequisites, and validation checks
Acceptance criteria
• 100 % field and link coverage confirmed by spot audits
• Output files load without errors in an independent viewer or target tool
• All scripts run under DOORS Classic 9.x without manual edits
If you have tackled DOORS migrations before and can demonstrate a methodical, script-driven workflow, let’s set up a quick call to lock down scope and timelines.
