Front-End Developer (Monthly Engagement)
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Front-End Developer to join us on a monthly basis to support the ongoing development and enhancement of modern, responsive web applications.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery, with the ability to transform UI/UX designs into clean, scalable, and high-performance front-end solutions.
This is a remote role with a structured monthly engagement model and potential for long-term collaboration based on performance and project needs.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
Convert wireframes and design prototypes into high-quality, production-ready code
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and consistent behaviour across devices
Optimise front-end performance for speed, scalability, and efficiency
Integrate front-end components with backend systems and REST APIs
Identify and fix UI/UX bugs and performance bottlenecks
Write clean, modular, and reusable code following industry best practices
Implement accessibility, security, and performance standards
Provide ongoing monthly updates, improvements, and maintenance support
Required Skills & Experience
Strong proficiency in:
HTML5
CSS3 (including Flexbox, Grid, and responsive design principles)
JavaScript (ES6+)
jQuery
Proven experience building responsive, mobile-first web applications
Solid understanding of DOM manipulation and browser rendering behaviour
Experience integrating and consuming RESTful APIs
Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
Ability to produce well-documented, maintainable code
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Engagement Model
Contract Type: Freelance
Billing Structure: Monthly retainer (fixed hours or agreed deliverables per month)
Location: Remote
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Ongoing monthly engagement (subject to performance and project pipeline)
