jQuery and datatable

We have a webapplication already in live written using HTML, perl CGI, jQuery and jQuery datatable.
In our frontend we can see the table with 12 columns. The first one reads as "status" and it has few select options. E.g: Live, In progress, Accepted, Rejected, Guard, Not in live etc.
So requirement is when we select Guard, the other fields should go into read-only mode. And then when we select other options (other than Guard) then other fields should come back to editable.
