Purpose :
The purpose of this role is to plan and test the software applications. Objective of this role is to ensure test processes are followed while testing software applications. Ensure defects are logged and tracked to closure and provide status to the Quality Head/Test Manager. Overall objective is to ensure application Functional/Load testing is done effectively and identify defects pertinent in the applications.
1. Test Planning
• Prepare Test Plans.
• Generate scenarios.
• Prepare Testcases.
• Review Testcases.
2. Testing
• Ensure requirements are understood.
• Document the test scenarios.
• Based on the test scenarios identify and prepare the functional test cases.
• Define Load scenarios and complete Load Testing based on need.
• Execute the test cases based on the builds provided by development team.
• Maintain the integrity of the test scenarios and test cases.
3. Defect Tracking
• Log the identified defects in bug tracking tool.
• Track the defects to closure.
• Coordinate with the development teams.
4. Status Reporting
• Report to the quality head on the status of testing activities.
• Escalate to quality head upfront on the issues of defects not being closed.
• Report any other issues related to testing to the quality head.
