Plush doll prototype

I have a children’s book that I’ve also turned into an animated series and need a plush doll (stuffed animal) prototype to feature with the book and series to show merchandizing possibilities. We do not have a big budget,but I can’t sew a button on so I have no idea where to begin. Thank you.
