File upload system like Gmail using Codeigniter 3

You are required to create the file upload system similar to Gmail's Email Composer's File attachment system (Instant Upload and Instant Delete asynchronously) using Codeigniter 3.
Donot use any third party library like dropzone of anything else.
We need this feature using HTML/CSS, JQuery and Codeigniter 3 only.
If you have already done it before, your existing code might work for us as well.
