Urgent Joomla Fix - 500 Error

I urgently need a Joomla expert. My site is displaying a message "Sorry, there was a problem we could not recover from. The server returned a '500 - Whoops, looks like something went wrong.'"
The last changes made were to user permissions or access. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the administrative control panel, which adds to the urgency of this matter.
The ideal freelancer for this project should be:
- Highly experienced with Joomla troubleshooting and recovery
- Able to restore access to the admin control panel
- Capable of diagnosing and fixing the underlying problem
- Excellent at communicating progress and explaining technical issues in a comprehensible way.
