Update a Joomla Extension to J4 from J3
Budget: £500 – £2,500 GBP
We use a news extension on Joomla 3 for a large number of websites, but this extension does not work on Joomla 4 and support for it appears to be abandoned. We're looking for someone to review the K2 News System and work with us to redevelop it to work in the Joomla 4 Environment and with the latest version of PHP (and prior versions) as well as adapt the extension. The adaption will be in the form of coding other plugins used commonly (such as auto-port to social media).
Initially the project will be to update the extension to work on Joomla 4. Then redevelop it under a new name adding in additional functions and options. The final stage will be to develop other features into the system such as Auto-Posting to Social Media, Auto Generating Hash-Tags for Social Media, etc.
Full support will be provided by Coliptus on the project, including any webspace or data space required.
The individual selected for the work will also be required to maintain, update and work on the project on occasion to keep the system secure.
