Recover look and feel of my Joomla / Virtuemart website

I'm looking for an expert in Joomla and Virtuemart. Please no automated responses to projects.
Back in 2021, browsers would show notifications saying that my website was not secure.
It used a very old version of Joomla and Virtuemart, which I failed to keep up to date.
Another thing is that bots kept creating spam accounts and it drove me crazy.
I decided to do an update to the latest on April of 2021, I also updated the PHP in the cPanel.
After the update, everything was a mess and my website looked awful, links were broken and many things didn't work. I didn't bother to check if Virtuemart still worked.

I have a backup of the entire site before the update in a .JPA file.
I also created a subdomain of the old website, but I am unsure how to activate it. If it is activated, it could be used as comparison when fixing the new website.
I want everything working as before, but with the latest Joomla and Virtuemart, and I want it to look like it used to, as much as possible. All links should work, the store should work and accept new orders, my list of customers and orders should be intact.
After everything is fixed, unnecessary files should be deleted from the server to disk space.
