Joomla Version Upgrade
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
I have a Joomla 3.4.5 website running on PHP 5.6.4. I need to upgrade the site to the latest version of Joomla 3 (Joomla 3.10.2) and ensure that the new site can run on a more recent version of PHP (perhaps 8? To be discussed). The website is: https://sewing-machine-ratings.com/
I would like to use the same template and design that I currently have – if possible. The site uses this template: https://rockettheme.com/joomla/templates/afterburner2 The less we have to touch the better.
The site uses several extensions. Some will need to be updated and some should probably be replaced (like AceSEF – it should be replaced with something that provides better/easier SEO capabilities if possible). All URL’s must remain the same and all metadata needs to be carried over.
Also, the site uses CComment and I would like all existing comments and related data ported to a new comment system (perhaps the comment system in Joomla 3.10.2 if it is any good?).
I will buy whatever extensions we deem necessary after discussion.
The site needs be copied to a test server where it can be worked on. We need to be able to test the site and ensure the new version is fully functional and complete before pushing it live.
I recognize that these requirements are not detailed but I would prefer a little discussion prior to nailing all the details down. This is because I am not a developer and there are aspects of this that may or may not be necessary, and will only be determined after some back and forth.
