Fix Joomla site after restoring files and database - 500 error

Yesterday we attempted to update to Joomla 4 and it failed. We restored the files from the previous days backup and restored the database. We are now getting HTTP ERROR 500 errors on the main page and the admin page.
Our hosting company suspects it is one of the components causing the error.
We will be able to give you FTP access and PHPMYADMIN access to the database.
