Create automatic notification email for new user account activation in EasySocial

Our website is a membership site that uses EasySocial for Joomla.
We have the site configured so that new users need to verify their email address before their account is activated.
The way EasySocial works is that it sends an email to the site admin when a new account (unactivated) is created. However no notification email is sent when the account is activated by the user.
We would like for EasySocial to send an email notification when the account is activated.
EasySocial does have a variety of email templates that can be modified (see the attached screenshot). So one solution would be to modify the code that triggers an email and then use one of the existing email templates.
