jquery/javascript error repai on shopify

I have a filter function on shopify but it adds multiple contraints per filter (Material and Type). I want to change it, so the user only can choose one of the filter options. (EG: only Gold OR Weißgold or Silber). I have prepared everything, but the main issue is, that we have to simulate a click event. Only a actual click will remove the constraint in the URL Bar.
By doing this we create an infinite cycle. Thats were I need a developer who can think out of the box to resolve this.
