jQuery or JS to Remove HTML Element, then Add New HTML Element

I'm using a WordPress plugin that adds a "Book Now" button.
I'd like to use jQuery or JS to remove that line of code in the HTML for users that are logged out, then display a different button that says "Login or Register."
If a user is logged in, then the code would remain the same.
Should be a quick and easy fix.
