fabric.js | text to path implementation for any font

I am looking for a developer with pro skills in fabric.js. Our specific focus is on a feature addition that converts text to a path so the result can be exported as an svg.

Here's what we need:

- Implement a feature that allows fabric.js to convert any text (using any font) to a path.
- It needs to work just like in Illustrator or Inkscape: Text is converted to paths without any changes in position
- It needs to work for multiline, rotated and skewed textboxes

Freelancer Requirements:

- Must demonstrate a deep understanding of fabric.js, opentype.js and fonts.
- Must have experience with SVG and JavaScript.
- Proven track record with fabric.js or similar library usage.

Ideal candidates can deliver high-quality work, adhere to deadlines, and communicate effectively.

About 80% of the work is already done but the last details (for example correct position after conversion) need to be developed. There are even more features we like to implement in the future.

What already works:
- Converting any font to paths using opentype.js

What's not working:
- Keeping the exact position of the text when it was converted
- Sometimes kerning seems to be a problem
- Multiline, rotation, skewing

Fixing that probably needs a deep understanding of fabric.js and the concept of a font.
