To exchange data between Microsoft Business Central and javascript

We would need to be able to read/write data from a database in Business Central On-Premise using their APIs.
We have the location of your server where the business center is located as well as your server instance and the environment that would be the test environment. I understand that we would need more data such as the APIVersion, APIVersion, APIGroup and EntityCaption or EntitySetCaption in order to have the complete url from which to obtain the data.
On the other hand, in terms of authentication, they have provided us with a username and password, but I think we need a web service key to be able to authenticate ourselves.
