WordPress Site Google Map Scrolling Fix with Javascript
Budget: €10 – €40 EUR
I have a WordPress site with a Google map integrated as a theme feature. Currently, the map is displaying correctly, but the user experience is not optimal.
The issue is that on mobile the map requires two-finger scrolling, which is not intuitive or user-friendly. I need the map to behave like a standard Google map, where it scrolls with one finger.
I'm looking for a skilled Javascript developer who has experience with the Google Maps API and WordPress. The ideal candidate should be able to:
- Diagnose the current map behavior
- Make the necessary Javascript changes to enable one-finger scrolling
- Ensure that the rest of the site's functionality is not compromised
- Ideally, a Javascript snippet should be provided that changes for example the map behavior to "greedy" after the map has loaded, so nothing in the theme files needs to be edited.
A successful completion of the project would mean that the map loads correctly and behaves in a user-friendly manner in terms of scrolling.
