Web Developer for EV Energy Optimization App

Job ID: 40178238

Budget: €250 – €750 EUR

EV Charging & Energy Optimization Web Application – Excel Model Integration (Fixed Price, No Agencies)

Project Description

I am developing a web-based EV charging and energy optimization application and am looking for an individual developer (not an agency) to extend and finalize the system.

This project is intended as a fixed-price engagement and also as a technical evaluation for a potential long-term role within my company.

The application already exists with:

* a working web interface (inputs, outputs, charts),
* an implemented calculation engine,
* a complex **Excel (XLSX) reference model** used to validate results.

Your task is to **fully understand the Excel model and faithfully integrate its logic into the web application**, so the application becomes the primary calculation and optimization tool.

Scope of Work

1. Excel Model Interpretation

* Analyze the provided Excel model (energy flows, costs, EV charging, bidirectional charging).
Identify:

* true inputs,
* derived/intermediate calculations,
* final KPIs,
* implicit optimization logic.
* Document the mapping between Excel and application variables.

2. Logic Integration

* Reproduce all Excel calculations in code with **high numerical accuracy**.
* Structure the code into:

* input layer,
* derived state,
* output layer.
* Ensure results match Excel within tight tolerance.

3. Optimization / Solver Logic

Implement a deterministic solver capable of:

* minimizing total energy cost,
* maximizing EV km,
* maximizing solar self-consumption,
* or balancing objectives.
* Solver variables may include:

* bidirectional EV share,
* charging time windows,
* PV sizing,
* grid feed-in vs self-consumption.
* Solver results must update outputs and charts automatically.

4. Graph & Profile Alignment

Align all charts with the Excel time-series logic:

* consumption vs production,
* grid usage,
* EV charging impact,
* ratios and percentages.

Technical Requirements

* **Individual freelancer only** (no agencies, no teams).
* Strong skills in **JavaScript / TypeScript** (frontend or full-stack).
* Proven ability to reverse-engineer **complex Excel models**.
* Understanding of **energy systems / EV charging / PV**.
* Clean, well-documented, deterministic code.

Pricing & Collaboration

Fixed-price project (define milestones in proposal).
* High-quality delivery is more important than speed.
* Successful collaboration may lead to a **long-term position** in my company.

How to Apply

Please include in your proposal:

1. Confirmation that you are an **individual freelancer** (not an agency).
2. Experience with Excel-based simulation or financial/energy models.
3. Your approach to translating Excel logic into code.
4. Estimated timeline and fixed price.

Generic proposals will be ignored.
