Vue.js coder required to help with small TypeScript game
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
We are looking for a Vue.js / TypeScript developer with to help with the next stage of a small browser game project.
We are extending an open source pool game and need some help completing the next stage which make the basic game fully playable.
This will only involve client side coding. The server side coding and all of the server communication code is already completed.
This stage will compete the basic gameplay functionality.
1 - Complete the basic two player functionality.
This part includes correctly switching from one player to another when the player turn changes. Currently the in the practice game the player can play against the computer on a single browser.
The functionality should be added for the player to player against another player in another browser.
The server side for this is already done also the server communication is already done. When a shot is made the shot information is sent to the game server and received by the opponent player.
The opponent player should be able to see the cue stick movements of the player when the player turn changes. This also includes indicating which player is playing on the screen in the player status.
2 - Complete the hit strength and hit position functionality.
We would also to change the hit strength input to be the same as Miniclip Pool. This will be easier for tablets or people using laptops without a mouse. This will also be easier for regular desktops with a mouse. The strength of the hit will depend on the distance the cue stick is pulled back (please see Miniclip Pool). At the moment the strength of the hit depends on the speed the mouse is pushed forward. Also the strength should be shown on the strength bar.
The hit position should be fully integrated into the game. The maths and logic for hit position is completed. At the moment it is not fully integrated into the game.
3 - Potted balls bar bug
There is bug when the ball is potted. Sometimes it gets stuck in the potted balls bar.
4 - Hit shot timer
We would like to add at timer to the player turn. When the timer hits zero player turn should switch automatically to the opponent.
5 - Complete the game rules for all of the billiard games.
This involves coding all of the rules for the games. We have a version of this game in Java. The Java rules should essentially be copied over to the TypeScript version of the game. This will include adding the player scores etc.
The are currently four sets of game rules to be coded.

Snooker
The practice game should only be a single player game, currently the player plays against the computer.
6 - Move the table boundaries
Move the table boundaries a bit so that it properly lines up with the boundaries of the table image.
7 - Make the game modals have minimal functionality.
This will bring the game up to the level of the first Beta test version.
The code should be well structured and the coder should be able follow coding guidelines and all bugs found should be fixed. The coder should be a good communicator and be able provide regular clear updates.
