Verify social media profile existence with Facebook API
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have a form which contains inputs to collect a persons social media usernames for FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, TWITTER and TIKTOK. I have written a function which takes the users handle and converts it into the appropriate link for each platform. The user enters "mileycyrus" and the function converts that into Facebook.com/mileycyrus, for example.
I wish to integrate the Facebook API so that the function is able to visit the URL and check if the profile exists, or if the user may have mistyped their username.
The task:
- Adapting the script in my form which collects information for different social media handles, including Facebook.
- Implementing the Facebook API to verify user's Facebook handle.
Skills and experiences required are:
- Expertise in JavaScript
- Experience in integrating Facebook API for handle verification
- Understanding of social media platform URL structures.
