Tradovate Auto Stop-Loss Script
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I manually open futures positions in Tradovate and want a custom script that takes over the risk-management chores the moment the order is live.
Core logic
• An initial stop must sit at a user-defined dollar amount that covers the whole position, regardless of contract count.
• Once price moves in my favour, the stop should jump to 0.5 × TR (true range) from entry.
• When price reaches a 2 R multiple, the stop moves to break-even and the first target exits.
• Every parameter—the risk amount, TR multiplier, RR target, partial-exit size, and alarm volume—needs to stay editable before each trade so I can tweak it without touching the code.
Workflow
I will place the trade manually. From there your script must watch the position, adjust stops at the milestones above, and play an audible alert each time a new level is hit or a partial exit occurs. No emails or texts are necessary, just the sound inside the platform.
Implementation help
Tradovate supports both JavaScript/TypeScript custom modules and external API calls; I’m open to whichever route you recommend because I don’t code. I will need a short hand-holding session or written guide showing how to load the script, set the inputs, and test it on a demo account before going live.
