Three.js expert needed

I have been asked to have a model of the esrth that is a rotating icosahedron but with each triable subdivided. The thing is I would like it to be clickable so that when tyou click on an individual trangle a specific action occurs for that triangle.

I have found a three.js version that allows different numbers of surface but I can't work out how to colour the spheres or make it clickable for a "call to action".
