Some javascript help with slideshow-fade and fullscreen-map

1) slideshow (top left)
The photos in this slideshow fades in for 2.5 seconds; problem is that the photo disappears after these 2.5 seconds instead of showing.
2) map (top right)
You can view the map in fullscreen by clicking on the icon in the top right corner of the map. When you the reduce it again by clicking top right on the icon, the map is gone but should be shown as on initial load.
