Skilled JavaScript & GLSL Developer Needed for 3D Lighting & Shading Project

Job ID: 38756960

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

Job Description: I’m looking for an experienced JavaScript and GLSL developer who can help me enhance a 3D project by implementing lighting and shading techniques. This project involves extending an existing web application to add realistic lighting effects, including Goraud and Phong shading, to create a more immersive experience.
Project Details:
OBJLoader Enhancement: Extend OBJLoader to load vertex normals along with positions, essential for accurate lighting calculations in the shaders.
VAO Setup: Implement a Vertex Array Object (VAO) to handle buffers with both positions and normals.
Shader Development: Create two shader pipelines—one for Goraud shading (per-vertex) and one for Phong shading (per-fragment). The shaders need to support ambient, directional, and point lights, with multiple lights per scene.
Dynamic Lighting: Update lighting dynamically when the user moves light sources within the scene.
Skills Needed:
JavaScript: For web-based 3D application development.
WebGL: To manage the rendering pipeline and implement interactive 3D graphics.
GLSL (Shader Programming): For writing vertex and fragment shaders and achieving the lighting effects.
3D Graphics Programming: Experience with lighting, shading, and handling 3D data structures.
HTML5: Since the project is web-based, knowledge of HTML5 will be beneficial.
Performance Optimization: Ability to write efficient code, especially when handling real-time 3D graphics.
Why Work on This Project? This is a unique opportunity to showcase your skills in 3D graphics, shaders, and WebGL. You’ll get to work with an interactive web-based 3D application and create visually impressive shading effects that bring scenes to life.
