Simple weather api call using javascript to show the temperature of one city in a basic html page

Looking for the easiest way to display the temperature of one town in html. The temperature will be taken from rapid api weather com api and needs to use javascript. Very easy task, just missing the last piece that will interpret data from XMLHttpRequest and display it in html. Update: needs to be completed today before 18:30 Center European Time.
