Shopify plugin / extension to a tool for product customization

we need a Shopify plugin / extension that when clicking on product details for a product in the catalogue will open an iframe with a webpage from another website. This other website will have a builder that lets the customer create a personalized design of a product. The other website page needs to be able to make an API call or Javascript call in order to tell the Shopify plugin that the customer is done with his design and also send price and other specifications in a JSON. The Shopify module will then make a second call to the other website in order to download an image of the personalized product and update the Shopify shopping cart with this image and the price that is returned when the other website notifies Shopify that the design is ready.
