Senior TypeScript Engineer (Chrome Extension)
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
We need your supreme JavaScript (specifically TypeScript) engineering skills to create a customer-facing Chrome extension application for our flagship cybersecurity SaaS product. This extension will be connected to our back-end services and will be followed up by additional front-end development work related to our core product.
As someone passionate about secure, clean, and easy-to-maintain code, you will play a critical role in creating services for customer dashboards, licensing and billing services, and select interfaces for end-users. You will work directly with our CTO and junior software engineer. Be ready for an ambitious challenge!
You’ll be working remotely alongside seasoned remote workers for a high-growth early-stage startup that embraces schedule flexibility. An overlap of at least four (4) hours in the morning hours of the Central European time zone is required, so you should ideally be located in Europe and Asia. - Highly proficient with TypeScript (3+ years experience required)
- High proficiency with JavaScript and its modern ES6+ syntax and features (5+ years experience required)
- Familiarity with Vue.js ecosystem (e.g. Vue CLI, Vuex, Vue Router, and Nuxt.js)
- Knowledge of functional programming and object-oriented programming paradigms
- Proven track record of writing efficient, secure, well-documented, and clean TypeScript code
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD), and rapid releases cycles
- Proficiency with modern software development life cycle (e.g. SCRUM, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, GIT, GitFlow, and GitOps)

- Experience with Chrome extensions development is a plus
- Experience consuming both gRPC and web-gRPC endpoints
- Experience with nginx, Envoy and MongoDB is a plus
- Bonus points if you have experience with back-end interfacing with Golang and Python
APIs
- Bonus points if you have a good command with Bash and Shell scripts
- Experience managing less experienced front-end developers
