Senior Python Django Full-stack Developer Needed -- 2
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I'm looking for an expert (8+ years) Python Django full-stack developer to become the business CO-FOUNDER.
This individual must possess proficiency in back-end development, database management, and server administration and must be a self-starter capable of overseeing the all website aspects as my business partner. This is a position for a leader who has dreams, passion and ambition to be on the ground-floor of a business they believe in and a with the desire to want play a major role in our success.
Our site and apps are in the final stages of completion and I have a team of developers currently in motion for the website and iOS/Android apps to fix bugs and optimize our operation. This responsibility would be to manage PRs, oversee performance, take proactive steps to resolve issues either by fixing yourself or assigning to a developer resource, oversee integrations, server resource management/health and scalability, code integration and review, approving changes and code for deployment/deploying code, managing pipeline and doing whatever it takes to ensure uptime of greater than 99.999%.
The developer will play an technical administrative role in the enhancement of a video social networking website, focusing on:
- Optimizing back-end performance and scalability for the upcoming website launch.
- Ensuring effective database structuring and management for Postgres database.
- Administering server tasks for maximum uptime and security for Digital Ocean hosting - must have the ability to understand and recommend hardware scaling strategy as the site scales.
- Acting as the senior "gatekeeper" and final authority for deploying changes and bug fixes by reviewing code and deploying changes to both Development and Production websites.
- Developing a robust back-end, rapid deployment and change management systems to support the website objectives.
- Managing GIT Pull request process in BitBucket fro both Development and Production servers (droplets).
- Must have docker experience and must be able to assist new developers in local development setup using Docker
- Must have social API integration experience and mobile API development experience
Key requirements include:
- Solid experience in Python and the Django framework 8+ years).
- Expertise in relational databases and efficient data handling (Postegres)
- Familiarity with web server technologies and cloud services.
- Ability to manage back-end changes, merges and pull requests of all developers
- Knowledge in implementing seamless account administration features.
- Docker experience required
- Social API integration experience and mobile API development experience
The ideal candidate should demonstrate a track record of managing high-traffic social networking sites and popular social features.
