Resize image using javascript

I have a asp.net webform page with input and Browse File button, I want to click on browse file
and select image only jpg format, the images file size is big I want to reduce the file size with javascript
before uploading to server.

I have already a button that upload the data to live DB, so I want also that it will save the file to live server
same in jpg format.

all work must be done with gitHub
