Refactor Very Small Part of Existing React Project

Hello bidders. I have an existing React project that was originally built by one person, then enhanced by another, and this will be the second enhancement. It is built using some combination of React, CRACO, and Tailwind to deliver a single web page to a user. The user is hyperlinked to this website where a path parameter is captured and used in an API call to an outside service to get some data. That data is then displayed nicely on screen in 2 sections. I need the webapp to have the understanding to not display one of those 2 sections based on some attributes of the payload. I don't want to disable the section. I want the section to not exist completely and the rest of the page to format nicely in the absence of this section.
I will fair warn you, the code in this app is not pretty. As I mentioned before, it is a mashed-together piece of software with no formal requirements, documentation, or diagrams. If you are chosen, the code will be delivered to you either via ZIP file or, alternatively, I can provide you with a Git repo and credentials that you can use to pull down the code. You can deliver the finished product the same way and I will do some rudimentary testing. Please understand this is not a large endeavor. This is simply adding an if/else statement somewhere that decides whether or not a specific pane of this webpage is displayed based on the result of an API call. That's it.
