Real-time Personalization Shopify App

We're building an innovative system designed to deliver dynamic, real-time personalized messaging for Shopify ecommerce stores. The solution will adjust content on the fly based on various in-session signals and contextual data. We’re looking for an experienced developer (or team) to help bring this vision to life.

Responsibilities:

Frontend Integration:

Develop Shopify app extensions or script integrations to inject personalized content into store themes.

Capture and utilize real-time user interactions and basic session data.

Backend & Edge Development:

Implement lightweight serverless/edge functions to process and aggregate session and contextual signals.

Create a backend system that can dynamically generate personalized messaging based on real-time data inputs.

API & Data Integration:

Integrate with third-party APIs for necessary contextual data (e.g., location, time, etc.).

Ensure seamless communication between the frontend and backend components.

General Collaboration:

Work with our team to align on project goals and refine the integration strategy.

Adhere to best practices for performance, security, and code quality.

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend work.

Experience with Shopify theme customization and Liquid templating.

Solid background in backend development using Python or Node.js.

Familiarity with serverless/edge computing platforms.

Demonstrated experience integrating third-party APIs.

Understanding of real-time data processing and personalization concepts.

Excellent communication skills and experience working with remote teams.
