Page speed diagnostics

I have a website selling personalised books through Shopify. The product page contains a book customiser, which when clicked you can pick different options to personalise the book. Overall the website works fine and is pretty fast. But on mobile devices when clicking the button to start personalising the book, there is something significantly wrong with the speed.
Entering a name into the input field, it takes 5-10 seconds for it to register that anything has been input. Similarly with the buttons, when tapping them it takes 5-10 seconds to register that it has clicked, to the point where it looks like it is broken if you aren't patient. Strangely if you refresh the page and try it again, these issues are resolved and you can proceed as expected.
This may suggest that there is an issue with something loading, either image, css, or scripts, which are delaying the event listeners or something. I need someone who is good with page speed diagnostics in dev tools or any other suitable tool, to look into what is causing this issue and provide a solution of how I can rectify it.
