One-page Chat Application with Node.js and MySQL
I have already created the Chat application till login the user.
Requirements:
- Develop a one-page chat application with text-based chat functionality
- Implement user authentication for secure access to the chat application
- Provide message history feature to allow users to view past conversations
- Include real-time notifications to alert users of new messages
- Searching messages
- Archiving chats
Skills and Experience:
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and MySQL
- Experience in developing chat applications
- Knowledge of user authentication techniques
- Familiarity with real-time communication protocols
- Ability to create a minimalist interface design for the chat application
Important:
The front end must be written in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You cannot write an app.
• You must use JavaScript running on Node.js on the server.
• The front end of the website must communicate with the back end using AJAX or WebSockets.
• After the single HTML page has loaded only JSON-formatted data can be exchanged between the client and
server.
• jQuery and Bootstrap are the only third-party libraries permitted for the front end of this project. Other
front-end libraries can only be used with the explicit permission of your laboratory teacher or module leader. React, Ember, Angular and Vue are banned. Functionality implemented with banned third party libraries will receive zero marks.
• There are no restrictions on the Node modules that you can use for the back end of this project.
• You must use a SQL database to store data for the website.
