NodeJS/Electron Developer - Editing Windows source code of Popcorn Time software (github)
Budget: $250 – $300 USD
I'm looking for someone to edit to latest "Popcorn Time" source code
https://github.com/popcorn-official/popcorn-desktop/releases
These are the languages in which the software is written:
JavaScript, NodeJS, CSS,HTML
Electron Framework
I want to make a few small changes only to the Windows version as of this moment.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But before that we need to Build 0.47/0.46 Win source code and check that the software open and does not freeze while trying to watch movies.
Inside the source code folder, there is a "read me" file and there are explanations on how to build the source code correctly.
This is information I was able to get that might help :
These are probably the codecs that need to be added to Build:
(aac, ac3, eac3, h264, mp1, mp2, mp3, mpeg4, mpegvideo, hevc, flv, dca, flac)
info about codec :
https://www.electronjs.org/apps/codex
https://snyk.io/advisor/npm-package/electron-packager-plugin-non-proprietary-codecs-ffmpeg
https://docs.nwjs.io/en/latest/For%20Developers/Enable%20Proprietary%20Codecs/
https://github.com/electron/libchromiumcontent/issues/198
.......................................................................................................................................................................
This is just the beginning of the project and our planning is long term and the intention is to continue the project for years to come, but before that we need to find a programmer who knew how to build the source code in good shape so that everything will work as in the official version.
If you think you can do the job I would love to hear from you.
