Node.js & EJS Mentoring Session -- 2

Job ID: 39943446

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

This is the first in a short series of focused sessions—my budget for this kickoff is US $30—and it will be entirely about deepening my understanding of the concepts that power a clean Node.js + Express application rendered with EJS. I’m already comfortable at an intermediate level: routing, basic middleware, and simple views are familiar territory. Where I still hesitate is in the “why” behind certain patterns and the overall structure of a growing codebase.

For this Part 1 session I want you to walk me through:

• sensible project organisation as files and features multiply
• the flow of data from controller to view, including where partials, helpers and layout files fit best
• reasoning-driven best practices that keep EJS templates clear, reusable and fast

We’ll work on my existing repository over a live screen-share (Zoom, Meet or VS Code Live Share—your choice) for roughly 60–90 minutes. I’m after true mentoring: explanations, code walkthroughs and small, illustrative refactors rather than quick fixes.

Acceptance criteria
• I can confidently refactor one representative module on my own immediately after the call.
• You provide a concise recap or annotated snippets within 24 hours so I can revisit the key points.

If you teach well, communicate clearly and can schedule the call within the next 48 hours, please send your proposed time slot and preferred conferencing tool.
